Mara Plains Camp

Mara Plains Camp is an intimate luxury safari camp tucked in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy adjacent to the Maasai Mara. It has just seven canvas safari suites raised on wooden decks along a seasonal river. Each suite is spacious, with en-suite bathroom (including a freestanding copper bathtub), a private viewing deck and large canvas walls that open to the sky. The design is earthy and elegant — polished wood floors, local textiles and Maasai cultural touches. A roomy guest lounge and open-air dining area overlook the river. The atmosphere here is relaxed but refined. Game viewing is exceptional (especially big cats) because vehicles are limited in the conservancy. Mara Plains focuses on low-impact luxury: solar power, water recycling and proceeds that support local Maasai communities and wildlife conservation.
