Migration & Crater Fly-In
Discover Migration & Crater Fly-In with Zorani Expeditions.
Journey Overview
A tighter migration itinerary for travellers who have seen Tarangire before, or who want to maximise Serengeti time without the full circuit. This eight-day journey flies directly into the Serengeti on day two, spends four nights across central and northern zones following the migration, includes a Ngorongoro Crater day on the return, and flies out from Arusha. Less road transfer, more time in the field.

Itinerary
Arrival — Arusha
Arrive Kilimanjaro International. Transfer and overnight in Arusha.
Arusha — Fly to Central Serengeti
Fly from Arusha to Seronera airstrip (approximately 50 minutes). Afternoon game drive. By July the migration herds are moving north, but large concentrations still pass through the central zone during this period.
Full Day — Central Serengeti
Full day in the central zone. Resident wildlife at peak dry-season density. Large migration herds may still be present in July–August moving through the Seronera Valley.
Central to Northern Serengeti
Charter flight from Seronera to Kogatende airstrip (45 minutes). Arrive for an afternoon drive. The northern Serengeti's wooded, hilly terrain is a different landscape from the central plains.
Full Day — Northern Serengeti · Mara River
Full day on the Mara River. Guide tracks herd movement and positions at the most active crossing points. Afternoon into the Lamai Wedge for resident lion and leopard.
Northern Serengeti — Second Full Day
Second opportunity for crossing activity or deeper exploration. The northern Serengeti's resident game is strong year-round. The area warrants time beyond the crossing focus.
Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Fly from Kogatende back to Seronera, then drive or fly on to the Ngorongoro rim. Arrive late afternoon. Final overnight on the crater edge.
Ngorongoro Crater — Departure
Early descent. Half-day on the crater floor. Drive back to Arusha for Kilimanjaro departure. Three hours rim to airport.
